Subject:Re: '87 Westy stalling when cold

I had a similar problem on my 87. Changed air regulator, temp switch, fuel
pressure regulator. Turned out it was the throttle switch assembly. I
finally decided to quit puttering around and sent the 87 off to a garage
who know what it was doing. Replaced switch, problem solved.

Here are the symptoms my 87 had....stalled when cold, idled like crap when
cold, exhaust was rich (black smoke and odor of unburned fuel). The problem
started out with just stalling, then got worse.
