I had odo failure, and this seems to be the classic problem, and I had mine

Not sure what your problem is, but repaired has to be cheaper than new...

I don't recall the cost, but it was reasonable and the unit was repaired and
returned promptly and operates well.
I regard speedos as being too finicky to try and repair at-home after
reading numerous posts about attempted repairs failing.
