Exhaust? Will it hurt to run the engine with very little exhaust back
pressure? For example no cat and a free flow muffler? I know on some
motorcycles this can burn an exhaust valve, but a lot of cars do just fine
with this.

Also, has anybody ever lowered a later vanagon? I was thinking about toying
with the 'Cal' look.
