Thinking about driving out west, possibly up to Alaska, you never know where the road is going to take you, and I would feel a bit better with a Subaru engine humming underneath than a waterboxxer. Plus it would be nice to go the speed limit up mountains. -----Original Message----- From: tim [mailto:h2oboxer@optonline.net] Sent: Friday, July 09, 2004 6:31 PM To: 'Bike Florida'; vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: RE: 2.1 waterboxxer value... interest? Then why the heck are you considering an engine conversion? -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of Bike Florida Sent: Friday, July 09, 2004 11:32 AM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: 2.1 waterboxxer value... interest? I am considering a Subaru conversion, as I have found a good donor car. I was wondering what a perfect 2.1 waterboxxer engine with about 60K miles is worth? And if there is much of a market for it. Burns no oil, leaks no oil, leaks no coolant, strong and reliable. As a matter of fact I just got back from a 1500 mile trip through the Smokey mountains and it performed flawlessly. Jerry
