I would guess it's because of the volume. The Vanagon archive holds all posts from (Unca, correct me if I'm wrong) about April 1994 to present. The type2 archive from July 1996 to present. Hence, the Vanagon archive is two years of posts larger. Additionally, unless Tom has upgraded the hardware recently, the type2 server is newer/faster. (But Vanagon has better software. ;o) ) Jim > > On Jul 12, 2004, at 7:44 PM, Shawn Luft wrote: > >> Hi folks >> >> Why is the vanagon list message archive so slow to load? >> >> I noticed the type2.com list loads up much faster ! >> >> Is there any way to speed it up? >> >> Thanks, >> Shawn. >> > > Leopards break into the temple and drink to the dregs what is in the sacrificial pitchers; this is repeated over and over again; finally it can be calculated in advance, and it becomes part of the ceremony. -Kafka
