We have an 82 westy, aircooled 2.0L, stock engine. The engine starts
fine and idles OK for a few minutes and then the idle slows down and
then revs back up and then slows down, until it dies with a hard
shutter. I have tried adjusting the idle screw, no change. I have
replaced the temp sensor. If I hold the accelerator down to make a fast
idle it stays running no problem but this is a PITA as I decelerate to
stop at a light. What should I check next.
