Hi Guys ! In Sweden we have a gov. car testing institute that collects information from car manufacturers and use that given info as guideline when an engineswap is made ... These are the recomendations given by Volkswagen regarding the reliability on the Vanagon gearboxes : 4-speed No more than 90 horspowers and 147 Nm -torque 5-speed, auto or Synchro 112 hp / 174 Nm Regards Calle
