I have sometimes 'camped' in US rest areas, but ONLY later at night when I can see that there are
several other rigs there for the night.  Big "Truck Stop" gas stations are also an alternative.
Those squishy foam ear plugs that expand into one's ear canal are a necessity for both.  Malcolm
