Just went through that with my GL. I could see where the leak was. Vent line. Simple to replace. My thought - go to petrol station, fill 3/4 or higher. Don't top off. Get extra fuel in a container. Go home and top off with something to capture the leaky fuel. You will then see where the leak is. Or, just replace any bad lines you see. -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM]On Behalf Of Keith Pike Sent: Thursday, August 05, 2004 7:08 AM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: 1988 Westy - fuel leaks upon fill up I don't really want to be a Roman Candle; so I never top up my gas tank. I am thinking there is a leaky vent line. How hard is it to troubleshoot and repair? Keith '88 westy ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----
