From t= his one email it's impossible to say -- about the most damning thing is tha= t the oil hasn't been changed in awhile... As far as the 'take it a bit slo= w' -- that's advice that I would give to a newbie Vanagon owner to prevent = them from trying to drive with the pedal to the floor the whole way! At the= very least, the seller deserves to hear your concerns and go from there. The thing that bothers me about the *people* on ebay is that, although bidd= ing creates a legally binding transaction, people think they are entitled t= o walk no matter what the reason. Simply put, it's the buyer's responsibili= ty to learn everything they want to learn *before* bidding. The seller isn'= t obligated to do anything for you. For this reason I would never buy a car sight unseen -- on ebay or anywhere= else! john >>>As for friday, everything sounds good, I dont know if I will be able=20 >>>to be there for the final transaction.=A0=A0My father will probably be t= he=20 >>>one to be there, his name is Fred.=A0=A0If you're driving this back to= =20 >>>Iowa take it a little bit slow.=A0=A0Let her rest every couple of hours,= =20 >>>that's how Ive driven it and you should be good.=A0=A0You might want to= =20 >>>get an oil change, the last time I changed it was about 2000 miles=20 >>>ago.=A0=A0How would an online account work for cutting me a check?=A0=A0= I=20 >>>would trust it I just dont know how that works.=A0=A0As soon as payment = is=20 >>>cleared I will send the title to you unless you would rather pick it=20 >>>here with the van.=20
