Does the list need money?

I'd be happy to contribute, as I'm sure many others would be.  I don't think
we should make it mandatory, that doesn't seem to be in the spirit of the
list.  I'm sure a solicitation for voluntary contributions would bring in
plenty, if you need the funds.
