Our '81 westie has no kitchen light nor light over the bed, though there there's some wiring in the shelf/tray/channel (what is it really called) over the sink. The wire that looks like it should be live comes into the shelf through a hole in the headliner above the poptop, but it doesn't have any voltage on it. I have not been able to remove the headliner; we took out all the screws, but the headliner is held in by more -- perhaps the channels it runs in are glued to the bodywork? So I tried to poke a wire inside the headliner from the interior light above the driver's door to above the tray. Seem to have hit metal in the middle. Where might it be possible to run power (12v) from, to go to the shelf/tray/channel? thanks yet again Alan
