Eric,

Something here just ain't right.  The wear pattern on the insides
indicates that the pads aren't properly contacting the rotors, unless
there's something odd about Syncro brakes that I'm not aware of
(possible, but not likely).

I'd like to see photos of the pads alone, both fronts and backs.

I'm kinda wondering if perhaps the pads are not returning when you take
your foot off the brake pedal, and you're driving with the brakes
partially on full time.  This would build up a lot of heat on those
rotors and consequently accelerate the rusting.
