MMMMM..... Coffee.... My girlfriend and I lived off grid last summer and drank percolated coffee for 6 months straight. It has a wonderful unique flavor when perced, provided you watch it and don't keep it on the heat too long and let it get bitter (the biggest danger with percolators). I think most of the bay area people will agree that Peet's Major Dickinsons blend is one of the best around. Simple, and a good everyday blend. Ironically enough though - since then, I've switched and found a french press to be the better method - especially since now that I'm not working construction at 7:30 every morning, 6 cups is a bit too much, and a french press is a good way to make smaller amounts. Mmmmm.... Coffee..... It is definitely both the bean and the brew. ugh - the other day I made the mistake of A) drink too much of b) a stong blend of c) arabica. Nearly killed me. -eric On Wednesday, August 18, 2004, at 09:42 AM, Calle Fallberg wrote: > Aha, a coffee drinker with good taste ! > I also prefer Gevalia even though I only use the medium roast (never > ever > heard of the blends you mention ) > Gevalia is THE tasty medium price coffee here in Sweden along with Blue > Mocca - comming from the same factory..... > If I want something a bit more fancy itll be Maxwell house but the > difference in taste isnt as big as in price... > Earlier when I really wanted something out of the ordinary, there was a > little shop here in town that had their own blend but unfortunately > the new > owner hasnt been able to make it right just yet :-( > > Calle > Mullhyttan, Sweden > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Steven Dodson" <steven@EPOCHDESIGN.COM> > To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> > Sent: Wednesday, August 18, 2004 5:31 PM > Subject: Vanagon coffee preference > > >> COFFEE!!! >> Now this is a thread I can sink my teeth into!
