What do you know about front calipers making an
initial "clack" when you apply the brakes, normal
sound or is all lost and certain doom to follow?

This is of course a Vanagon of 85 vintage with new
rotors, pucks & god knows how many miles on the
calipers

Lookin' for an excuse to spend $$$ on a big brake kit
