Brian,
   The question is not "how much" but," how long"? It will
probably handle 3,000 watts; for three micro seconds. IMHO
the switch will not even handle the stock headlights for the
life of the car. The switch is not cheap either.  I haven't
had any problems since I  did the headlight-relay mod and
fixed the grounds.
