With the 6.5" woofers in the bench seat enclosure you definitely don't need a subwoofer unless you want people to hear you are coming a block away. I installed the same MB Quart 3-way into a friend's Westy and took out the 15" subwoofer preexisted. He was very please how much more balanced the system sounds across the spectrum. - Vince http://gipsyflies.home.comcast.net 1989 Vanagon GL Camper 1993 Mazda Miata 1996 Land Rover Discovery 2005 Mini Cooper S (almost here) -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of Damon Campbell Sent: Tuesday, August 24, 2004 4:52 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Re: MB Quart 6.5 speakers I have 6.5's in the same location as you and a 10" sub under the rear bench. In my opinion, the sub is unnecessary, and the $$$ to gains isn't really worth it.
