On my 87 GL Wolfsburg, I suspect severe wear on the roll pin that connect the actual clutch pedal and the pushrod on the clutch master cylinder. My clutch pedal has been making metal-grinding noise and a few times refused to come back up after I depressed it. Shifting is not all that great either inspite switch to Redline MT fluid. Now my question is, how do I get at it to take a look and confirm my diagnosis? My Bentley simply says I need to go through the instrument panel, but I would like to know how involved this is before I start taking out the brake components like the brake master cylinder and the booster. Thanks. Jean-Woo Kim
