Here is the weird way to raise the top at least part way:  Close all
windows and doors, un-latch the top, and turn the front heater blower on
full blast.  Believe it or not, and I've tried this, you will raise the
top.  How much depends on the condition of the tent, etc.  I don't know
if this would work to help shorter people or not.
