I appreciate the thoughts.

The van currently had 20w50 Mobile 1 synthetic in it with the correct filter. Because of a sticking lifter I tried the MMO routine, however this only made the oil preassure issue worse (duh). I'm going to try 20w50 dino just to see if I can get a little more out of the engine, but as Bob says -  this one's toast.

The interesting thing, however, is that the van runs very well (after the cold idle problem goes away) and has plenty of power. Oh, well.
