I am quite sure the fridge fan is wired such that none of the switches on the fridge control turns it on/off. It will run regardless as long as the temperature is hot enough to trigger the bi-metal switch (sensor) mounted on the condensor fins. It is not broken. - Vince http://gipsyflies.home.comcast.net 1989 Vanagon GL Camper 1993 Mazda Miata (for sale) 1996 Land Rover Discovery 2005 Mini Cooper S -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of Kevin Mulligan Sent: Wednesday, September 01, 2004 4:47 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Westy fridge fan on, but fridge is off (I think) My fridge fan comes on during hot days when parked in the sun even though I believe I followed the instructions for turning it off: I firmly pressed both the gas and the AC power buttons after turning the temp all the way down. I did notice that the DC button doesn't readily snap out -- but it comes out with some coaxing -- so I'm wondering if something is broken. Ideas? Fixes? - Kevin __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail Address AutoComplete - You start. We finish. http://promotions.yahoo.com/new_mail
