There is ample room for rodent entr�e on either side of the fresh air screen 
behind the upper grille.  They love to nest in the heater box and from there 
they are able to roam the van with impunity.  I believe they also can gain 
access through the fresh air vents to the rear of the rear side windows.  There 
they might have to gnaw a little bit of foam, but what's some foam to a critter 
who will gnaw through a white pine baseboard?
