Has anyone constructed something like this:

The "loft" in the bottom photo looks excellent.  I'd like one that is
the height of a big rubbermaid tub, so that it could fit above or below.

If you've built something like this, do you have anything so say about
the design?  Photos?

Have you tried something like this and decided it didnt work for some
reason?
