Subject:Oil pressure gage power tap?
From:Damon Campbell
Date:Sun, 19 Sep 2004 02:26:37 -0700

I am going to be installing my oil pressure gage this
week (maybe tomorrow?), and want to know if there is a
recommended point to tap into for power.

Secondly, to get the gage light to dim with the dash
lights, should i just get a piggy-back spade terminal
to fit onto the dimmer pot, resplice the original
wires, or something better? (I'm not the most
experienced electrical guy, as you can tell.)

Thirdly, the conventional location seems to be
directly to the right of the dash pod, but is there a
less conspicuous location that is just as easy to
read? I was kind of thinking down in front of the
shifter, pointing up, but this really isn't as
readable.

Thanks for any tips,
-Damon
