Thanks I know the MMO did'nt do it, i was just adding my MMO and went to tighten the drain plug and it did'nt feel quite right, its not finger loose but its not real snug like it use to be. I'm really careful on how much i tighten things so this is a shock to me. I think that somebody tightened the drain plug down to tight and took the threads with the plug. They are spinning around with the plug right now. Find a metric / american conversion thread chart and tap the hole to the next size bigger in american threads. Put an new short bolt in the drain hole with a copper or nylon washer for the seal. You can try and chase what you have, but chances are the threads are beyond repairing. The MMO didn't do it. RC Subject: oil drain not snug. feels loose well tonight after doing my MM OIL treatment, I put my drain bolt back up and the damn thing seems soft and won't tighten feels loose and now I got a drip, could a worn washer be the ticket? not allowing it to tighten all the way??I'm going to drain the oil in a few days, might have to get a new bolt also? hope my block isn't cross threaded? Joe
