Case is probably striped. Thread is 14 X 1.5. Find good auto parts store and get an oversized plug. They make them in 1 and 2 over sizes. Get one with a small hex and flange. The large hex doesn't fit into the recess properly. Is usually use plug from oil-tite. I am out of town now so I don�t have the part number. Dennis
