On the surface this may seems to be the case. Sure, if you open the burnner assembly the flame will tilt 8 degrees due to gravity. However when the burner is assembled the combustion air circulation design of the burner assembly will be such that the airstream will direct the flame to the flue pipe. Did you take the photo with the burner assembly assembled and the flue pipe connected? - Vince http://gipsyflies.home.comcast.net 1989 Vanagon GL Camper 1993 Mazda Miata (for sale) 1996 Land Rover Discovery 2005 Mini Cooper S -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of Malcolm Stebbins Sent: Tuesday, September 21, 2004 12:40 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Re: fridge wont stay lit --- Vince S <gipsyflies@COMCAST.NET> wrote: > The Vanagon's Camper Supplement manual actually specifies +/-8 > degrees.
