Absolutely turn off the fridge before you put in gasoline. I should have mentioned this before in my previous message. Good catch. I find that the propane is good if you're at a campsite, then want to drive to a hiking ground. Or, you're driving and want to pop into a store or restaurant. Turn off the fridge before pulling up to the gas pumps. Also, I guess this is obvious, but if you have any gasoline smell outside the van, even from cracked fuel tank overflow tubes, don't use the fridge. -- Craig On Tue, 21 Sep 2004 15:04:11 -0600, jimt <wetwesty@tactical-bus.info> wrote: > > > On 9/21/04 2:42 PM, "87 Westy" <87westy@GMAIL.COM> wrote: > > >>> Unless I am driving for long periods where I will be doing multiple > > fuel stops, I let my fridge run on the propane<< > > > > Is there a danger from running the fridge on propane when on a long > > trip?
