Subject:Re: Agilis on Alloy - the facts on this tires rim requirements

Peter and list,

If one goes to the Michelin web page,
http://www.michelinman.com/assets/pdfs/doc_agilis.pdf
you will see that the Agilis 185R14C is suitable for a 5.0-6.0 inch rim,
i.e., either the stock steel or the stock alloy rims.

Perhaps the shop has been given some sort of warning by VWoA mounting
inappropriate passenger tires under 205 which wouldn't have sufficient
load characteristics and is going overboard with it by applying it to
extra strong high capacity tires like the Agilis 185's.
