...and if this splicing has already been done on your van, don't forget the
possibility that one of the splices has gone bad. The crimp-on butt-splices
sold at most FLAPS are not weather sealed, and will corrode internally. My
'85 had a bad switch (verified with a meter after replacement) *and* a bad
splice... but at least the bulbs were good.
