In fact, you don't need any screen saver software in Windows XP to run a slideshow as your screen saver. I didn't know this because I don't waste the memory and energy that a screensaver uses, rather just setting the screen to go blank. But if you want one, go to the Control Panel, to Display, to Screen Saver, one of the options among built in screen savers is "My Pictures Slideshow." There you can choose the folder where the pictures you want to use are located (means you could vary it from time to time easily), set the frequency of change, size of pictures, etc., and "Apply." I just set it up on mine and it worked just fine. Now I will go disable it. Just checked my laptop and setup the same feature for Windows ME. Do it with the same commands. All the same options exist so you could put the pictures in the My Pictures folder or create a folder for vanagon pictures, etc. and select it and be good to go.
