When my Son was an infant, I had him in a rear facing carrier and that was strapped in with the lap belt on the middle seat.  When he went to a forward facing seat, he went to the rear seat.  I added shoulder belts when he got over 40# and the required car set needed shoulder belts.

I have a 6 month old who has never been  in my 83.5 Westy.  I need to pick
up some furniture today though. Where does everyone on the list put their
baby seat? Is it OK in the front seat here in PA since I have not front
airbags or does she still have to go in the back?
