True, but not real problem. Leave the EGR box in place with the wires hooked up and run the one piece speedo cable next to the EGR box. Your EGR lights and your speedo will work fine. BTW: We sell the the one piece cable for $10.67 Cheers, Jeff www.vanagonparts.com -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM]On Behalf Of jimt Sent: Tuesday, October 05, 2004 9:38 AM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Re: aircooled intake elbow On 10/5/04 9:37 AM, "The Bus Depot" <vanagon@BUSDEPOT.COM> wrote: >> I am also looking for a good speedometer >> cable, the upper cable that connects from the >> egr box to the speedometer - but I need the >> later clipstyle, not the early screw style. > > > This cable will replace both the upper and lower cables (and do away with > the EGR warning box)... > > http://busdepot.com/details.jsp?partnumber=251957803E > > - Ron Salmon > The Bus Depot, Inc. > www.busdepot.com > (215) 234-VWVW > Warning on that cable....what state are you in and how do they conduct air checks. Here in colorado the light for the egr is required to pass. So unless you do some wiring to make the light still function normally that cable cannot be used.
