Hello to all. I am new to the list, have just sold my 1975 Type II and purchased a 1984 Vanagon (weekender package). Hard to let go of the Kombi, but loving the Vanagon, so far. My research for repair manuals indicated that Haynes did not produce one for the water-cooled version. Well, I found a copy (European), just received it and it is great. ISBN is 1859604528. Got it from books4cars.com out of Washington for a decent (about $43 total) price and quick ship. Gonna go flush the cooling system now. Can't see lifting it almost 16 inches.. I bought a pair of ramps that will lift the front wheels about 6 inches. thinking that should work. 16 inches sounds rather severe to me. Could be the first of my live and learn Vanagon mistakes. We shall see. Good to meet you all. Joy, hang in there, you'll make it. Don Sturgill Sarasota, Florida dsturgill@verizon.net
