Hi There was a guy who cut the bed open on a PU here in Sweden, it must have been at least 15 years ago or something like that, to make room for "something nice" Something nice turned out to be a Chevy big block complete with an autotranny, rear axle AND a charger on top !!! It was ment to be on the race track but he ran it on the street at first and the last I heard about it was that he ripped the enginemounts/subframe in an attempt to do a wheelie :) Calle ----- Original Message ----- From: "jimt" <wetwesty@TACTICAL-BUS.INFO> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Wednesday, October 06, 2004 4:00 PM Subject: Re: Vanagon Drag-Racer > On 10/6/04 4:22 AM, "Andrew Grebneff" > <andrew.grebneff@STONEBOW.OTAGO.AC.NZ> > wrote: > >>> Folks, >>> >>> Anyone built Vanagon Drag-Racer? >>> FRP-cowl, engine, tranny, frame, pix & mpegs, others.. >>> I look for that info. >>> >>> TIA >>> >>> Yosh@87Westy >> >> Hi Yoshi >> >> A few have... with SVX engines. >> -- >> Andrew Grebneff >> Dunedin >> New Zealand >> Fossil preparator >> <andrew.grebneff@stonebow.otago.ac.nz> >> Seashell, Macintosh, VW/Toyota van nut >> >> > Was just looking over a GM 350 V8 install down in albuquerque, complete > with > the GM auto trannie. > ........................................ > jimt > Planned insanity is best. > Remember that sanity is optional. > http://www.tactical-bus.info (tech info) > http://www.westydriver.com >
