Joe Lucas held the honor's of the foolish design / execution awards for
many years.
That is until VW decided to build the  over engineered Vanagon, and
totally blew him away.
Humpty Dumpty did fall.
Poor Joe.
I personally have never had a wiper motor burn up from being stuck to
the glass.
Blown a fuse?
Sure.
I like GM's, and most of the non-import concept of attaching wiper's to
the end of the wiper shaft.
Pull the clip on the bottom of the arm and the wiper is off the serrated
attachment point.
Very simple, inexpensive to replace, non slipping design.

RC
