On my westy w/ power locks, you cannot lock the passenger door while it
is open - only after closing it and using the key or the reach around
through the slider.
Do you have power locks that are not functioning, as I think both the
front doors are active lock cylinders, if you close and lock one door
while the other is open the system kicks the locks back up. Maybe this
helps - no?
