Hi Lucas, I've painted the inside of the cabinets and bench. White spray paint to cover the glue residue, and then another two coats with a brush. For the bottoms of shelves and drawer I use counter top laminate, glued in with epoxy. I put carpet on the panels. BTW you may want to replace the glass fiber insulation behind the panels with foam. Broken glass fibers itch and are probably bad for your lungs. Some sound proofing is also a good idea, esp. on the rear hatch. I have my own opinion about fastening panels. I don't like plastic clips. I put jacknuts in the holes for the clips and now the panels screw in. No more rattles, nothing coming loose.
