My fuel pump has been whinning for a while so I decided it was time to replace
BOTH of my fuel filters on my 85 Westy. the plastic box filter # 133-133-511 and the
round canister filter # 1h0-201-511-A . At the VW dealership in Springfield I was
informed that the sq. plastic filter has been DISCONTINUED!!. Whether or not this
means that they will no longer be available or if some other company will still
produce this filter # 133-133-511 I don't know. the dealership actually went to a
import supplier and brought back 2 of these filters for me. they are manufactured in
Israel. Will we all be looking for other filter options soon?
