It's intended to satisfy the needs of the Subaru ECU and it outputs 3 different signals. 1) 0-5 volt square wave pulse at 4 pulses per speedo cable revolution. 2) 0-5 volt square wave pulse at 2 pulses per speedo cable revolution. (for Syncro) 3) Open collector output (just pulses to ground) Either 2 or 4 pulses per rev. Comes with mounting screws and instructions. Follow the link in my sig line... Steve '86 Westy "Escape Pod" (EJ22) '73 Beetle "ain't got a name yet" ++++++++++ Universal Hall effect VSS fits '86 and later speedo. Works with 2WD or Syncro. http://www.weirdstuffwemake.com/weird/stuff/automotive/vanagon/vss.html Need a cure for the Subie-Westy "alternator light problem"? http://www.weirdstuffwemake.com/weird/stuff/automotive/vanagon/alt_fix.html
