Howdy,

In addition to my trip odometer disintegrating (I never reset it while
moving I swear) I've found that the speedometer mounts in the rear have
broken. I have an 85 Westfalia GL.  Any idea what causes this?  Is it
possible the speedometer cable is pulling on it?

Is there any way to fix this speedometer?  That's my first choice.  Any
other options?  New or used?  I'm looking for a metric unit.  I have to be
careful because the insurance company here keep track of your mileage to
prevent rollbacks.
