The barbs / retainer's are gone from the inside of the knob.
Buy New, ( not a big Dollar item BTW ) or find a donor Van for new
knobs.
Do NOT use liquid anything on the 4 heater lever knobs !
Do not glue them, period.
The ides is to make them halfway removable to be able to access the
inside of that heater conttol panel,
Not a permanent attachment point of interest.
