I am not sure you understand the message. I ran across Howard Stern in 1981 in Washington DC. He made me embarrassed to be of the same species as him. That's my opinion and only sets a reference point for why I do what I do. At that time, I just chose never to listen to a station that had his show on the air. When I run across this jerk, I note the stration and never listen to it. No listeners, no advertisers. When someone calls (as they occasionally do) and asks if I listen to such and such a station, if it's one of his, the answer is no and I tell thm why. And now Sirius is going to give this boob a half billion dollars? Not a single one of mine. Give me an address and I will write and explain to Siriius personally the reasons they will never get me as a customer. Economic votes. Does it work? Probably not but I sleep well at night knowing HS will never get any of my money. This theory works just as well with people like Rush Limbaugh and that O'Reilley guy. They can have all the audience they want, they just can't have my economic vote. tim one small step in san jose >From: aircooled chris <aircooledchris@EUCASAFARI.VENDIOWEB.COM> >Reply-To: aircooled chris <aircooledchris@EUCASAFARI.VENDIOWEB.COM> >To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM >Subject: Re: <F> OT: Free satellite radio offer >Date: Fri, 19 Nov 2004 09:33:59 -0800 > >thats one of the nice things about having a lot of channels - the option >to turn the station. > >and for those worried about kids listening to channels you shouldnt, >both XM and Sirius have adult themed stations that arent suitable for >kids and can be blocked out quite easily. > >Aristotle Sagan wrote: > >>Y'all will notice I didn't say a thing about the constitutional right for >>this jerk to be on sirius radio.
