Hi,
I'm getting annoyed by the mirrors getting blown out
of place on my 83 Westy all the time. Almost got into
an accident because of it. I replaced them already,
but even the new ones have the same problem. I have to
tighten them almost to the point that the base cracks
to get them to stick. Until I meet the next 18 wheeler
in a headwind...
Do the power mirrors on the later models have the
problem? Do they fit on the older door? Can they be
adjusted manually? I don't want to put the whole
mechanism in the door.
Also my interior rear view mirror disintegrates.
What's a good place to get a replacement and how is it
done?
