Hmm, the cover for my vanagon is so large (and somewhat of a pain to
put on and take off) that' I'm surprised yours was stolen. On the other
paw, I have seen the wind just about take my car covers off my other
(non-Vanagon) vehicles....and ONCE it even was able to just about
remove it from one of my Vanagons. I always felt that the tie downs on
the bottom were more for keeping the cover ON the vehicle when windy,
than an anti-theft device.
