Start with the temp 2 sensor or wiring. It also controls the idle stabilizer especially during warm up. As of a couple of weeks ago my vanagon is intermittently having issues starting. Only sometimes and only when the weather is cold does this problem occur. When I crank the engine the rpms go up and then quickly fall to below 1000 and the engine will not turn over. However, when I give it a little gas the engine will start. If I take my foot off the gas the engine stalls. Hence, I have to give it a little gas until it is properly warmed up. Again, this problem does not always occur, but when it occurs it happens when it is cold. If anyone has any suggestions as to what the issue might be or how to troubleshoot this problem it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance, Chris
