Rachel: I regularly get 32-33 mpg (US) in my Diesel DoubleCab in the summer months. Winter (up here in New England) it drops to 30-31 mpg, due I'm sure to the winterized diesel. I am pretty obsessive when it comes to recording my mileage and fuel consumption. I rarely drive over 59mph and much of my driving is mixture of city/hwy, but not really any stop & go (traffic) driving. I have the stock 1.6L NA Diesel (very good condition) and 185R14C tires. My 7 passenger GL Diesel gets about 26-27 mpg (I haven't run it on winter diesel yet). It has a Franken-motor (pieced together form a 60k block with 3 original pistons and one used piston, a 300k turbo head and various injectors of unknown age and spray pattern), the DY tranny and I run 195/75R14 tires. What transmission and tires do you run? Maynard '86 Diesel DoubleCab '82 7 Passenger GL Diesel -----Original Message----- I just felt extremely compelled to update the group... Next trip to Denver I'll measure it religiously. OK, I went to Denver and the mileage IS 39 MPG! Can anyone verify their mileage is in the range? -- Gnarlie
