did you install 3-point seat belts at the rear seats? If you are still
using lap belts, then yeah it sucks , but if not. The van has more
sheetmetal in it, than 2 cars by today's standards.

and if that don't work trade the wife not the van...the van can keep you
warm at night too ...and will always like what you get it for Christmas!!!
