I'm curious as to what is in this recall kit, so I can tell if mine's been done. Mine fell out last year- y'all ever tried to put those $#&*@ things in by yourself? Mine were 'held up' by these little brass-looking plates, about 1.5" x 6". Since the broken plastic was still deteriorating behind these plates, I had to get some large washers, etc. and rig it to hold. Then of course there was the whole process involving the front piece... gharrrgh. I also had to brace the rear housing because those weak little tabs had busted clean off. I used some angled steel (sorry, Eric; hehe) and since I had some larger enclosed speakers I wanted to use I extended the braces out forward and made a sort of shelf to mount the speakers on. It ain't factory-finish pretty but it does the job. Anyway, if somebody could describe the kit and the fix I'd appreciated. I'm afraid mine might have already been 'fixed' and what I'm seeing is the aftermath. I don't do any off-roading, so maybe I'm ok for a while.
