Don't take off the heads to replace the pushrod seals. Use the collapsible tubes. I got mine from Ken at vanagain.com Call some of the list vendors like BusDepot, VolksCafe and see if they have um in stock. Personally, I wouldn't mess with minor oil drips. I would just use a drip pan. I changed my pushrod tubes because my hydraulic lifter was jammed. I changed two pushrod tubes with collapsible tubes 6 months ago. No leaks from the tubes yet. Many other problems with my van, but no oil leaks. ;-) -- Craig On Wed, 5 Jan 2005 11:06:18 -0600, Michael Knight <vwdormer@hotmail.com> wrote: > >From: Benny boy < > > >Impossible! unless you have a cracked head near the seal, but that is no > >very probable... your leak may come from the water pump (like someone else > >mention)... i would also suggest the oil cooler or related hoses: > >http://www.benplace.com/engine/water_pump_step56.jpg > >http://www.benplace.com/engine/cleaning_pump.jpg > > >Even with some amount of coolant into the engine oil, oil would be > >predominant from a pushrod seal leak... > > >If i understand, it' comming from the head side??? and not the engine core > >side!!! so, i would suspect the head gasket....
